One Day Painting The Essence Of The Sea Studio Workshop With Karen Blackwood
  • Workshop Overview: Join award-winning fine artist Karen Blackwood for this one-day intensive studio workshop.
  • Curriculum: She will cover everything from her use of the compositional armature of the rectangle, color mixing with a limited palette, designing with a limited number of values, and answering the all-important question of "why this painting?"
  • Artistic Philosophy: Over the years, Karen's process and materials have been honed to the essentials, focusing on simplifying to reach the very essence of the subject. Her paintings serve as a way to communicate what draws her to a subject, as she believes what a painting communicates is key to who the artist is and what they have to say.
